We are seeking a dedicated Youth Support Specialist to join our team at 360°kids. This role is responsible for providing assessment and case management services to youth transitioning into independence.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be adaptable, and have a flexible approach when working with clients. They will also be able to facilitate life skills sessions, provide ongoing support, mentoring, and access to direct services to address issues youth are facing.
- Assist and support in developing youth action plans, coordinating activities, and monitoring progress.
- Cordinate and facilitate life skills sessions, provide ongoing life skills support, mentoring, and access to direct services.
- Provide client-focused informal counselling skills and role modelling in an adaptable and flexible approach.
- Encourage and support clients to secure suitable housing within the community and assist youth to access various community programs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a child/youth-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience working with youth.
- Minimum three years' experience working with 'at-risk' or street-involved youth.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification, current vulnerable sector screening, car, and valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of working with youth, including understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that promote positive team building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will have opportunities for professional growth and development.
