About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with youth in need of support and guidance. As a Community Youth Support Professional, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing wraparound services to help young people overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work closely with clients to identify goals and develop personalized plans for achieving them.
  • Provide support and guidance in areas such as education, employment, and life skills.
  • Liaise with community resources and organizations to ensure seamless support for clients.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and progress assessments to monitor client success.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment, promoting respect and dignity for all individuals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in a field related to child and youth work, such as social work, psychology, or education.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a community outreach setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills, with the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services, with the ability to connect clients with relevant support.
