Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumber and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects.
  • Supervise and Instruct: Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices on plumbing techniques and best practices.
  • Pipe Fitting and Repair: Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Testing and Inspection: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Project Management: Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in plumbing, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Backflow prevention Certification, Plumber Trade Certification, Working at heights training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
