Job Title: Plumber and Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plumber and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that all plumbing projects are completed to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification.
  • Plumber Trade Certification.
  • Working at heights training.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate for this position and have a valid driver's license.
