Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
    • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
    • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
    • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
    • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
    • Supervise other workers and schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
  • Supervision and Leadership
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 people.
    • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid Backflow Prevention Certification.
    • Hold a valid Plumber Trade Certification.
    • Hold a valid Working at Heights Training.
    • Hold a valid Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
    • Hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
    • Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
    • Hold a valid Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
    • Hold a valid Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
      • Have equivalent experience in the trade.
    • Work Environment
      • Work in confined spaces.
      • Work in wet or damp environments.
    • Physical Demands
      • Be physically demanding.
      • Be able to bend, crouch, and kneel.
      • Have good hand-eye coordination.
      • Be able to handle heavy loads.
      • Have a large workload.
      • Be willing to work overtime.
      • Work under pressure.
