Job Title: Plumber, Maintenance and Repair

We are seeking a skilled Plumber, Maintenance and Repair professional to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects
  • Instruct apprentices in plumbing techniques and best practices
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Supervise other workers on plumbing projects
  • Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Work Environment:

This role requires working in various locations, including commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and confined spaces. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate for this position and have a valid driver's license.
