This exciting opportunity involves joining our US CMS Trade Surveillance team in Montreal as an additional resource. As a key player in our Compliance program, you will interact with regional and global colleagues to identify and address potential risks.

Job Description
The Compliance Department at Societe Generale is responsible for ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and industry guidelines that apply to our banking and financial activities. Your primary role will be to participate in the monitoring of security transactions for compliance with Exchange rules and collaborate on regional and global projects to enhance the Trade Surveillance program.

  • Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of new surveillance scenarios and minimum standards.
  • Review trade surveillance alerts and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders for investigation and resolution.
  • Assist with the review and analysis of new and/or amended industry rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with regional and global compliance initiatives and investigations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in trade surveillance, general compliance, and/or financial services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is also essential.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
