Strategic Nursing Practice Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Nursing Practice Director to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and expert advice on Nursing professional practice matters.
Job Summary:
The Strategic Nursing Practice Director will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of quality practice environments and achieving successful and sustainable large-scale organizational change. You will build and maintain a professional practice culture that promotes excellence, advanced practice, safety, respect, collaboration, inter-professionalism, accountability, mastery, and discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for optimized services that comply with current legislation, professional, and accreditation standards
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the Portfolio strategic plan/strategic resources
- Collaborate with leaders responsible for clinical and support programs to achieve a coordinated and integrated approach to strategic planning and change management
- Provide leadership and expert advice on scope of practice, skill mix, and care delivery approaches through inter-professional collaborative practice
- Assess impact of changes in systems and technology on Nursing and prioritize requests for changes and improvements in the organization's clinical information systems and solutions
Requirements:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Nursing plus seven (7) to ten (10) years of recent, related experience in a senior management or leadership position within a large, academic, health-care environment
- Current practicing registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional practice issues and future directions for professional practice at the provincial and national levels
- Strong program planning and development skills, including integration of evidence-based best practices
- Results-oriented with the ability to develop and execute strategy across large complex organizations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this position is CAD $118,919 - CAD $155,177, depending on qualifications and experience.
