Director of Nursing and Interprofessional Practice

Job Summary
Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing and Interprofessional Practice to provide strategic leadership and expert advice on Nursing professional practice matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of quality practice environments and achieving successful and sustainable large-scale organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on Nursing professional practice matters
- Build and maintain a professional practice culture that promotes excellence, advanced practice, safety, respect, collaboration, inter-professionalism, accountability, mastery, and discovery
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance professional practice and professional growth, support person and family-centred care, and enhance patient experience and outcomes
- Collaborate with leaders responsible for clinical and support programs to achieve a coordinated and integrated approach to strategic planning and change management
- Provide leadership and expert advice on scope of practice, skill mix, and care delivery approaches through inter-professional collaborative practice
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- 7-10 years of recent experience in a senior management or leadership position within a large, academic, health care environment
- Current practicing registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Strong program planning and development skills, including integration of evidence-based best practices
- Results-oriented with the ability to develop and execute strategy across large complex organizations
