Nursing Practice Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Nursing Practice Lead to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our healthcare leadership, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to nursing practice across the organization.
About You:
- You hold a Master's Degree in nursing with 7-10 years of recent, related experience and leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- You possess a comprehensive understanding of current thinking related to practice, leadership, care, and service delivery.
- You have current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of professional practice, nursing regulations, and nursing standards to apply them across the continuum of care.
- Understand available resources for practice and keep quality in the forefront of all resource utilization decisions.
- Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in your area to transform theory into program strategy and direction.
- Facilitate, collaborate, and negotiate for effective resolution of practice issues.
- Showcase your leadership skills by fostering a respectful and motivating work environment where individual competencies can thrive.
- Stay informed about evolving trends and practices, share knowledge, and support nurses to integrate evidence-based practice in the delivery of quality care/services while optimizing nursing scope.
- Foster collaborative and effective working relationships to support the professional practice and ongoing development of staff.
- Use strong written communication skills in the development of reports, business cases, etc., and in internal and external partner engagement.
What We Offer:
- An estimated salary range of $93,000 - $114,000 per year.
