About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Care Assistant to join our team at Résidence des Peupliers (2012) inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor Patients' Health: Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to healthcare staff.
  • Assist with Meal Service: Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure patients' rooms are clean and tidy, and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Administer first aid in emergency situations and respond to call signals to determine patients' needs.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Conditions: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work in a rural area, hospital, or home for the aged setting.
