About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Orderly to join our team at Résidence des Peupliers (2012) inc. as a key member of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor Patients' Health: Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with Meal Service: Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure patients' rooms are clean and tidy, and that patients are transported safely in wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Administer first aid in emergency situations and respond to call signals to determine patients' needs.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate to a rural area and work in a hospital or home for the aged setting.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Transportation: Own transportation required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to walk and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and work term: permanent.
