About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Care Assistant to join our team at Résidence des Peupliers (2012) inc. in a rural area setting. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently using a wheelchair or stretcher
  • Respond to call signals to determine patients' needs and provide assistance as required
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, including CPR and other life-saving interventions
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural area
  • Ability to work in a hospital or home for the aged setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
