Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Specialist to join our team in Toronto. As a Client Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing clients and establishing relationships to maximize their loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business by reviewing client exposure and loss history and proposing coverage solutions.
- Develop account strategies and presentations to communicate with clients.
- Provide exceptional client service by regularly contacting existing clients to ensure quality service is being delivered.
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Research and identify prospective clients' needs through involvement with relevant resources.
- Place new business, renewals, and endorsements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain extensive market relationships and participate in industry functions.
- Oversee the preparation of underwriting submissions and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain organized records and policy files to ensure they are up to date.
- Request and follow up with insurers for outstanding information and endorsements.
- Establish procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activity.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding client receivables.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage.
- University degree (typically in business or finance) or equivalent work experience.
- RIBO Licensed.
- Ability to work well independently, as part of a team, and with others throughout the organization.
- Good project management and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and effective time management.
- Customer focused and service oriented.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
