Hotel Manager Job Description

At Alberta Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Manager to join our team. As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our hotel operations, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Create and implement policies and procedures for daily hotel operations, ensuring that they are in line with company standards and regulations.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and manage a team of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Prepare and manage hotel budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure that the hotel is operating within budget.
  • Enforce Policies and Procedures: Enforce hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff members are aware of and adhere to them.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs: Assist clients/guests with special needs, ensuring that their requirements are met.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for hotel staff, ensuring that they are fair and reasonable.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in hotel management.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus and team player.
