Forensic Psychiatric Services Outreach Specialist

As a Forensic Psychiatric Services Outreach Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring, screening, and interviewing clients to gather information about their health condition and environment.
You will also be expected to report significant and unsafe behavior, physical and cognitive changes, and provide emotional support and assistance to clients as needed.
Additionally, you will create linkages to other community resources and programs, contact relevant organizations, and assist clients with processing forms.
You will also act as a liaison between various agencies, provide information on services, and support the provision of direct service components such as groups and education sessions.
QualificationsYou will need a graduation from a recognized Social Services Worker certificate program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
You will also need a valid Class 5 vehicle license and awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action.
As a strong asset, you will have knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports.
