About the Role

CertainTeed Canada, a subsidiary of the Saint-Gobain Group, is seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead our Winnipeg plant operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our manufacturing strategy, driving business growth, and promoting a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, quality control, and supply chain management, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, improve processes, and implement World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, promoting a culture of employee engagement and trust.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related technical field (Science or Engineering) or equivalent, and/or 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead cultural change and create winning teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and excellent communication skills to influence and build partnerships at all levels.
  • Expert understanding of Autonomous Maintenance, Professional Maintenance, and Kaizen problem-solving.
  • Advanced skills in planning and managing broad groups of plant functions.
  • Strong financial acumen to diagnose and resolve business challenges, including budget development.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills with the ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Results-oriented, data-driven, and works with a sense of urgency.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
