We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GOMACO Equipment Operator to join our team at O'Hanlon Paving. As a key member of our road construction crew, you will be responsible for the safe operation of GOMACO concrete equipment and working collaboratively with our team to complete all duties and tasks associated with machine-poured concrete and road construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate GOMACO concrete equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work closely with our crew to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Load, unload, and move equipment as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating GOMACO equipment and working with concrete crews
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the municipal road building industry
  • Thorough knowledge of GOMACO equipment operation and minor repairs
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods under pressure
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license or above with a clean driving abstract
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Valid safety certifications

Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal position, typically starting in the spring
  • This role is eligible for overtime
  • Company vehicle may be provided
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
  • Training will be provided for various activities
  • We offer competitive wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months, with the option to continue benefits during the winter months
  • Potential on-call work during the winter months for snow removal and early spring sweeping season
