We are seeking a dedicated and skilled GOMACO Operator to join our team at O'Hanlon Paving for a seasonal full-time role. The ideal candidate will embody our core values of Commitment, Attitude, and Respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate GOMACO concrete machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill all tasks related to machine-poured concrete and road construction.
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance on equipment, including pre-trip inspections and greasing.
  • Manage the loading, unloading, and movement of machinery.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience operating GOMACO machinery and working with concrete crews.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the municipal road construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safe GOMACO operation and minor repair techniques.
  • Ability to work for extended periods under pressure.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license or higher with a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Availability for extended hours and weekend work.
  • Current safety certifications.

Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal role commencing in the spring.
  • Overtime opportunities are available.
  • A company vehicle may be provided for work-related tasks.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
  • Training will be offered for various operational activities.
  • We provide competitive wages and benefits eligibility after a probationary period, with the option to maintain benefits during the off-season.
  • Potential on-call duties may arise during winter snow removal and early spring sweeping operations.
