Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Studio East. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of food, as well as overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
  • Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
