About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Peacock Wine Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef in menu planning and food preparation
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations
  • Ensure high-quality food presentation and presentation
  • Collaborate with the FOH team to create a positive guest experience
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fellow cooks and Chefs
  • Assist with training and coaching of new team members
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • Professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
  • Passion for learning and growth
