Job Title: Sous Chef

Studio East is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, specialist chefs, and other kitchen workers.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Recruit and hire staff, ensuring a diverse and skilled team.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, emphasizing our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
