Wound Care Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Specialist Nurse who will thrive in our dynamic and caring culture. Our ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for providing high-quality care to clients.
This part-time or casual position is based out of various locations, including Mississauga, Halton, GTA, Central, and Dufferin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with wound, ostomy, and continence care, enabling them to remain within their home and community setting.
- Provide high-quality, appropriate nursing care to individuals with skin integrity issues related to wound management, ostomy care, and continence-related nursing diagnoses.
- Adhere to provincial regulatory body standards and practice guidelines, performing safe, competent evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Evaluate client care plans and implement changes as needed, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
Requirements:
- Hold a certificate in wound, ostomy, and continence care from a recognized educational institution.
- Have previous experience in community or acute care settings with a focus on wound care (preferable).
- Be highly organized and excel at managing your schedule.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum two years' experience in community or clinical/hospital settings preferred.
- Currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the CNO.
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C) certification required.
