Job Description:

Closing the Gap Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced NSWOC nurse to provide high-quality wound, ostomy, and continence care to clients in their homes and community settings. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop comprehensive care plans for clients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care, adhering to provincial regulatory body standards and practice guidelines
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to establish and update care plans
  • Conduct assessments to determine appropriateness of virtual consults
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
  • Successful completion of a wound, ostomy, and continence program (NSWOC) or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in community or clinical/hospital setting with focus on wound care
  • Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the CNO
  • Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C) certification

Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
