About Float Financial Solutions Inc.

Float is a pioneering company on a mission to revolutionize finance for Canadian businesses, empowering them to overcome complexities and unlock new opportunities. Through our cutting-edge platform, we enable businesses to streamline spending and optimize cash flow, allowing them to focus on growth and development.

Our Product

Float offers a comprehensive suite of innovative financial solutions designed to meet the needs of Canadian businesses. Our integrated products, including corporate cards, bill pay, reimbursements, and financial services, are redefining how companies access capital, manage spending, and achieve growth. Backed by top-tier investors like Tiger Global, Golden Ventures, and Susa Ventures, we're transforming the global B2B finance landscape and seeking bold innovators to help shape its future.

About the Talent Acquisition role

We're seeking an exceptional full-cycle Talent Acquisition professional to join our team at Float. This is a highly exciting and critical individual contributor role, responsible for recruiting across all functions and levels (entry-level to director). We prioritize quality and fit above all else, which means we actively source top talent and wait until we find exactly what we're looking for.

In this role, you'll oversee the entire recruitment process from start to finish:

  • Partner with Float hiring managers to understand their hiring needs, becoming a trusted partner in all things recruitment.
  • Create detailed candidate success profiles and workback plans, identifying essential candidate requirements at each stage of the interview process and ensuring we have a hire date to work towards.
  • Develop captivating job descriptions that accurately reflect the role's essence.
  • Proactively source the best talent using creative and effective methods, presenting key information that resonates with candidates and drives strong responses.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, thoroughly screening, interviewing, and communicating with candidates in a timely and thoughtful manner.
  • Evaluate candidates through nuanced questioning and active listening, assessing technical and functional skills as well as cultural fit.
  • Manage the candidate pipeline and experience, maintaining accurate records and keeping teams and candidates informed throughout the process.
  • Lead structured candidate debriefs with interviewers to determine candidate suitability based on the success profile and job description.
  • Coordinate offer management, aligning with hiring managers and the Head of People to finalize offer details.
  • Provide data-driven insights through recruitment metrics reporting, ensuring our dashboards remain up-to-date to inform interview approach improvements.

You'll excel in this role if:

  • You possess extensive experience in talent acquisition, genuinely enjoying every aspect of the recruitment life cycle and continually honing your skills to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • You're an expert networker with a deep understanding of the market, able to draw people in with compelling verbal and written communication.
  • You can connect the dots, helping candidates understand the impact of various decisions and making informed choices.

This role may not be suitable for individuals who:

  • Don't enjoy spending most of their time actively sourcing and recruiting.
  • Aren't passionate about their craft or don't have great instincts for identifying top talent.
  • Lack a high sense of urgency and drive or prefer to work independently rather than collaboratively.
  • Get frustrated when candidates don't progress in the hiring process.
  • Prioritize high volume over quality.

A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year reflects the level of expertise required for this position, commensurate with local standards and industry benchmarks. Additionally, you'll enjoy benefits such as flexible work hours, generous time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
