We are part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), which plans, manages and evaluates specialized health services with the BC health authorities to provide equitable and cost-effective health care for people throughout the province.
Salary
The estimated salary for this role is between $110,000 and $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Cancer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
- Order appropriate screening diagnostic investigations and interpret reports.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Prioritize management of health conditions and provide follow-up treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and prognoses.
- Participate in research contributing to improved patient care and advances in nursing.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to self-direct, interact, and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism principles.
