Salary



The estimated salary for this role is between $110,000 and $140,000 per year, depending on experience.



Job Description



We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Cancer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
  • Order appropriate screening diagnostic investigations and interpret reports.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Prioritize management of health conditions and provide follow-up treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and prognoses.
  • Participate in research contributing to improved patient care and advances in nursing.


Requirements



To be considered for this role, you must have:




  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to self-direct, interact, and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex situations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism principles.
