Responsibilities:
• Foster a proactive health and safety culture within the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure compliance with health and safety management systems and legislation.
• Collaborate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee and regional employees to develop and implement health and safety strategies.
• Develop and maintain safe work procedures and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct workplace audits and investigations to identify and mitigate risks.
• Participate in the development of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Deliver health and safety training and orientation programs.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in health and safety or a related field.
• Canadian health and safety designation (CRSP/T, CSO, NCSO, etc.) is preferred.
• Minimum 3-7 years of full-time experience in health and safety in a large multi-faceted operation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OHS and WCB legislation and regulations.
• Experience working in health and safety management systems (OHS18001, ISO 45000, QMS).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
