Key Responsibilities:

As a Rehabilitation Assistant at Lake Country Lodge Community & Retirement Living, you will play a critical role in supporting the rehabilitation and mobilization of our residents. Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting residents with established rehabilitative activities, such as mobility and strengthening exercises, walking programs, and activities of daily living.
  • Reporting observations of residents' behavior and progress to the Therapist/Nurse, and communicating concerns and changes to resident condition.
  • Maintaining an attendance roster for statistical purposes and reporting to the consultant PT/OT and Director of Residential Programs.
  • Setting up and organizing furnishings and equipment for related activities, and cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Providing input into planning and evaluating rehabilitation programs by reporting observations and resident feedback to the Director of Resident Programs, OT, and PT.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant diploma from a recognized school or a bachelor's or master's degree in physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
  • Experience in Residential Care or a similar rehab setting.
  • Able to pass a Criminal Records Check.
