Rehabilitation Assistant Role
At Lake Country Lodge Community & Retirement Living, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our residents in their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with established rehabilitative activities, such as mobility and strengthening exercises, walking programs, and activities of daily living.
- Follow rehabilitation and mobilization programs as directed by the treating PT/OT.
- Report observations of residents' behavior and progress to the Therapist/Nurse.
- Maintain an attendance roster for statistical purposes.
- Set up and organize furnishings and equipment for related activities.
- Maintain an inventory of equipment, devices, and materials.
- Provide input into planning and evaluating rehabilitation programs.
- Participate in in-services, staff development programs, and serve on committees as needed.
Requirements:
- Completion of Rehabilitation Assistant diploma from a recognized school or graduate from a bachelor or master's program in physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
- Experience in Residential Care or similar rehab setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
