About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Second Year Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Audit team at KPMG-Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the audit of clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements and related notes.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Test and evaluate internal controls to ensure they are operating effectively.
  • Perform financial and systems analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Accounting or business diploma.
  • Enrolled in the CPA program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of auditing experience with a public accounting firm.
  • Proficient knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
