About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Second Year Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Audit team at KPMG-Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the audit of clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review financial statements and related notes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Test internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform financial and other systems analysis, providing insights to clients.
  • Perform general accounting tasks, finalizing files with precision.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, building trust and confidence.
Requirements
  • Accounting/business diploma, with a strong foundation in financial principles.
  • Enrolled in the CPA program, with a commitment to professional development.
  • Minimum of 1 completed year of auditing experience with a public accounting firm.
  • Proficient knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in relevant software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to monitor and uphold high-quality service and products.
  • Skilled at developing an understanding of client businesses, issues, and markets.
  • Driven to continuously learn from experiences and seek out feedback and development opportunities.
