About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage audits of clients, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing group business plans and contribute to the development of audit strategies.
  • Work with members of the practice management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and drive business growth.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with a proven track record of leading audits and managing teams.
  • Previous experience using various accounting frameworks (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to understand clients' businesses and develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service, with a commitment to excellence.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue, with a strong understanding of business development strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
