Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Rossland Grocery. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our store.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of retail staff, including recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
- Merchandise and Services: Determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold in our store, and work with suppliers to procure high-quality products.
- Store Operations: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and ensure the store is running efficiently and effectively.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, and work to improve customer satisfaction.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: Experience in retail management or a related field is an asset.
- Work Setting: Work in a rural area, in a retail business environment.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
