Job Summary

Rossland Grocery is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of retail staff, including recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
  2. Merchandise and Services: Determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold in our store, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers.
  3. Inventory Management: Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and that inventory levels are optimized.
  4. Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring that our store is operating within budget.
  5. Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Store Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations of our store, ensuring that it is running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  1. Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  2. Experience: Experience is an asset, or equivalent experience.

  1. Work Setting: Our store is located in a rural area, and we are a retail business.
