Job Summary:
First Student is seeking a skilled Parts Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, documentation, and security of all parts and supplies in the Parts Room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Management: Receive and stock parts, conduct price and quality surveys, and provide counter service to customers.
- Inventory Control: Clean and organize shelves, bins, racks, and other storage areas to maintain a clean and orderly parts facility.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Enter necessary data into the computerized record-keeping system, ensure the credibility of said information, and provide reports as necessary.
- Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and customer service skills to internal and external customers.
- Ordering and Procurement: Order special (non-stock) parts for repair orders and manage cores and parts returns.
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor re-order levels and replenish stock as needed.
- File Maintenance: Maintain files and other related records, and operate the R.O./Parts record-keeping system as per corporate and customer needs.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 1-3 years of parts room experience strongly preferred
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to build solid relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates, computer literacy, and strong attention to detail.
