English Literature Content Expert/Curriculum Developer

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a qualified English Literature Content Expert/Curriculum Developer to develop a major revision of ENGL 3651: Shakespeare. The successful candidate will have a PhD in English, experience teaching English Literature, and a proven track record of course development skills in a face-to-face or distance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a detailed course planning document for the course, including relevant learning outcomes, learning activities, and assessments.
- Revise and/or develop content, including learning activities and authentic assessments, to ensure they are relevant and appropriate for an online continuous entry course.
- Create multimedia or other active learning activities to ensure student engagement through experiential learning.
- Choose effective and appropriate resources, ideally digital, and prioritize low-cost and accessible options.
- Accurately cite sources and identify third-party material that may require copyright clearance.
- PhD in English.
- Experience teaching English Literature.
- Proven course development skills in a face-to-face or distance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to write in a clear and consistent style with grammatical accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner.
