About the Role

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Professional , Maternity Leave coverage reporting to the Director of Human Resources. This position is based in Burlington, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all general HR inquiries ensuring a strong customer service focus.
  • Assist in processing bi-weekly Canada and US payroll using ADP for TWD and its subsidiaries.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including group benefits plan, RRSP and 401K programs, employee referral bonus program, wellness subsidy program, and service awards program.
  • Onboard new hires
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records both hard copy and digital in compliance with applicable legislation
  • Maintain HR documentation and staff public records on the company intranet
  • Produce and submit a variety of HR reports and employee documentation
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with processing separation documentation and offboarding
  • Assist staff with the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation, and benefit programs, and employment agreements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment and occupational health and safety legislation
  • Assist the HR Business Partner and Director of HR with Special Projects

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset but not required
  • 3+ years of related experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to a range of human resources activities, including recruitment, orientation, compensation, and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and employee communications
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Familiarity with the use of applicant tracking systems (ADP familiarity is an asset)
  • Exposure to processing payroll in both Canada and the US is an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion
  • Payroll experience (ADP preferred)
