Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all general HR inquiries, ensuring a strong customer service focus.
  • Assist in processing bi-weekly Canada and US payroll using ADP for TWD and its subsidiaries.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including group benefits plan, RRSP, and 401K programs, employee referral bonus program, wellness subsidy program, and service awards program.
  • Onboard new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records, both hard copy and digital, in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Maintain HR documentation and staff public records on the company intranet.
  • Produce and submit various HR reports and employee documentation.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with processing separation documentation and offboarding.
  • Assist staff with the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation, and benefit programs, and employment agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner and Director of HR with special projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset but not required.
  • 3+ years of related experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to a range of human resources activities, including recruitment, orientation, compensation, and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and employee communications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the use of applicant tracking systems (ADP familiarity is an asset).
  • Exposure to processing payroll in both Canada and the US is an asset.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion.
  • Payroll experience (ADP preferred).
