Essential skills include expertise in biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, and ergonomics, as well as the ability to supervise research-focused students. Professional certifications and applied experiences in the field are considered valuable assets

Key Responsibilities

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina is a leading institution in the field of Human Kinetics. As a Biomechanics Professor, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and graduate programs. Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Teaching 6 courses per year, including biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Engaging in research through the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the Human Kinetics program.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • PhD in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or a related discipline with a concentration in biomechanics.
  • Demonstrated passion and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses associated with the Human Kinetics major.
  • Expertise in biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Ability to supervise research-focused students.
  • Professional certifications and applied experiences in the field (asset).

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid vacation time.
