Position Overview

The University of Regina is seeking an accomplished academic leader to fill a three-year term position in its growing Human Kinetics program. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in research through student supervision, and contribute to the achievement of strategic priorities: Student Success, Quality Programs, Academics & Research, and Community Connections.

Position Requirements

  • Earned PhD in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or a related discipline with a concentration in biomechanics.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach courses associated with the Human Kinetics major, including biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, ergonomics, motor learning, human growth and development, and anatomy.
  • Ability to supervise research-focused students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Professional certifications and applied experiences in the field are valuable assets.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Teach 6 courses per year in undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate honours students in research projects.
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs within the Human Kinetics major.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $85,000 - $110,000. Comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and paid time off. Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
