The successful candidates will receive a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience, approximately $120,000 per annum.

Job Description

We are inviting applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in social work. The appointees will be responsible for teaching at the BSW and MSW levels, conducting research, supervising graduate students, and contributing to the administrative structure of the Faculty of Social Work. Applicants should have a PhD in Social Work or a related area, with a record of research and teaching in areas such as social work practice, education, or policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong research focus in one of the following areas: Critical Disability Studies/Disability Justice Perspectives, Dismantling Anti-Black Racism and Fostering Black Joy, Abolitionist Social Work, Indigenous and Decolonizing Child Welfare, or Critical Perspectives on Trauma. A completed PhD is preferred, but all but dissertation (ABD) will be considered.
