About the OpportunityThis Casual Relief Diagnostic Medical Sonographer position reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Team performs patient care, technical activities and duties directly related to the overall functioning of the department. The purpose of this position involves the performance of routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic medical sonography procedures using various ultrasound equipment
- Conduct patient assessments and prepare patients for exams
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate records and reports
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This Casual Relief position offers a competitive hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
