Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Cobs Bread. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other sweet goods.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Supervision: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect kitchen and food service areas and organize and maintain inventory.
- Accessibility: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
