Job Title: Telecommunications Cable Installer

OB IT SOLUTIONS INC. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Cable Installer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to install and maintain telecommunications cables and equipment. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Repair cable signals and install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 to 35 hours per week
