Meteor Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on our telecommunications network. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals, repairing equipment, and analyzing test results to ensure optimal network performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
- Repair cable signals and diagnose equipment faults
- Analyze test results and adjust or repair switching systems, networks, and associated equipment
- Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
- Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
- Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
- 2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoors
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Health care plan
- Permanent employment
- 30-44 hours of work per week
