Job Summary

Meteor Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a key member of our installation and maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Repair and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable signals and associated hardware.
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures to access and maintain telecommunications equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
