Position Overview

As a Telecommunications Cable Technician at NETECH CABLING INC., you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of communication systems. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive reliable and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Set up and upkeep of both aerial and underground telecommunication systems.
  • Equipment Testing: Conduct tests to identify and resolve transmission issues.
  • System Setup: Install trunking systems, circuits, and necessary equipment.
  • Documentation: Complete and manage test and service reports to maintain accurate records.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and determine the nature, cause, and location of service disruptions.
  • Field Work: Perform tasks at heights using poles, ladders, or other support structures.
  • Cable Management: Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets as required.
  • Work Coordination: Assess and assign work tasks effectively.
  • Internet Setup: Install cable modems and software to facilitate Internet connectivity.
  • System Repair: Maintain and repair both aerial and underground transmission networks.
  • Fault Resolution: Repair or replace defective cables, power supplies, and amplifiers.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
