About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Intensivist to join our Critical Care Department at our Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care as a Specialist Intensivist in our 16-bed Critical Care Department.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our Critical Care service.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
- Meet the necessary requirements for credentialing by the College of Critical Care Medicine.
About the Service:
Our Hospital is a tertiary provider for Intensive Care to the Midland region of New Zealand, offering a wide range of services across all major specialty interests.
We are a major trauma centre, the second largest cardiac surgical centre in New Zealand, and a busy general intensive care unit catering to the needs of 1500 ICU patients and almost 3000 HDU level patients each year.
Our team operates a retrieval service by both air and road for critical care patients and a large contingency of cardiac patients, credentialed by the College of Critical Care Medicine at level C24.
Requirements:
- Hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of practice of Intensive Care Medicine, or equivalent, and must be of good standing.
- Employment in this role will only be confirmed once the applicant has been successfully credentialed by the relevant committee of the Health Board.
