Counselling Operations Supervisor

Langara College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Counselling Operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the Counselling Services Department, supervising Assistants, and supporting the Counselling team.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and support the Counselling team in providing high-quality services to students.
- Oversee the maintenance of a safe, inclusive, and welcoming student-facing working environment.
- Develop and implement front-line procedures, policies, and protocols in consultation with the Department Chair.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, staffing, and training.
- Manage confidential student files and maintain confidentiality.
- Utilize clinical scheduling software, such as Titanium, to manage appointments and services.
- Provide support services to individuals, including those presenting with mental or physical distress.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of mental health policies and guidelines.
- Two-year Diploma or Associate Degree in a related discipline, such as social work, psychology, or business administration.
- Six years' recent relevant experience, including supervisory experience and experience working with clinical scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ability to work in a leadership role and as a member of the team is essential.
