About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Innovator to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative product solutions that align with our design philosophies and exceed our guests' evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop product solutions for our Veilance product category, with a focus on women's product and perspective.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to create and execute assigned product designs that are future-oriented and user-centric.
  • Help define the current and future global guest, their needs and expectations through market analysis and consumer research.
  • Contribute to the commercialization of innovative technologies, including materials, pattern, and construction techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques used by Arc'teryx.
  • Collaborate with other designers to bring new and better toolbox solutions that benefit the brand.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Support the design director and senior designers in developing a schedule for the flow of the line plan through all development stages.
  • Partner with the development and merchandising teams on concepting and prototyping for seasonal products.
  • Present at internal meetings, design reviews, and seasonal stage gates.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing products, preferably textile-based, with a focus on designing women's product.
  • Ability to create tools and construction methods to assist in solving construction issues.
  • Constant finger on the pulse of evolving city cultures and evolving markets, with a focus on timeless solutions over temporary trends.
  • Technical and creative skills to pattern and prototype.
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • Passion for the work and a strong knowledge of Arc'teryx products.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 CAD per year, as well as a bonus program and benefits package.
